How did we come to this state of the world where we don't know what we eat or drink, where there is nothing but secrecy as far as what the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is plotting with the gigantic Monsanto corporation? Secrecy for the purpose of making Monsanto immune to legal suits, secrecy to make people unaware of what risks they are running when they drink rBGH milk, which is not labeled as coming from cows injected with the dangerous Bovine Growth Hormone. Yes, you read this right. U.S. dairy products are not even labeled as originating from rBGH milk. Incredible? Shocking? You bet.

There is no more any freedom to choose what we eat, what kind of seeds farmers sow, or even what cultures we are going to grow in our own fields. There is no more freedom. Individual freedom has been replaced by control. Giant corporations like Monsanto decide how we live and die. They put our health in danger and since the governments have sold out to them, are working hand in hand with them, there are no legal means of putting an end to this unethical and life-threatening control by Big Brother. Big Brother runs the world, Big Brother is going to drive the world into ever increasing poverty and starvation – under the pretense of solving the problems of world-wide hunger.

If Big Brother decides that you should grow corn to produce ethanol, so be it, but where goes the culture you used to grow to produce food and not fuel?

How did this whole sordid business start?

It was a clever plan by biotech companies to increase food production under the pretext of saving the world from hunger. In reality, it was intended to make biotech companies filthy rich, to own the world. Today it's the giant Monsanto corporation that controls 90% of all the genetically engineered products world wide. Genetically Modified (GM) products are planted, sold and eaten all over the world, without, lots of the time, the public being aware of what they are consuming.

yea man, i think this goes in hand with the Codex crap. They're intentionally making us eat sh*t that was previously banned.

As far as world hunger goes.. this sh*ts the biggest joke ever. We've HAD the resources to cure world hunger for QUITE some time. Unfortunately, the people with the money dont give two sh*ts about the starving people of this world. That includes 98% of americans too! Think about all the bull sh*t in you or your friends houses.. Even worse, think of the bull sh*t they have in public storage! Now imagine if the funds for that CRAP was used logically, with reason, to provide and care for another human. It's ridiculous.

E: Knew you would be in this thread at some point, and being the first is not surprising. After watching these videos I have come to an understanding that in fact instead of helping products grow better, being genetically modified, they in fact produce less. I posted this for those whom who don't know/think our government are/is protecting their rights like one would think. This company is building a global monopoly on ALL farm lands and its product. Think about that!!!! All food is being manipulated & patented for their benefit. We are talking about "gods gifts" to mankind being patented!

Yea there's a very thin line as far as trying to decipher what is "good" and what's not. I mean, in all reality, there's gotta be some forms of genetic manipulation that actually have NO negative effects, it's just whether or not these methods are used and preferred and any that have any kind of defects are eliminated or fixed.

You'll get people coming out in complete favor of genetic manipulation, because really, it is a crucial key in ending hunger world wide, so one would be quick to assume that those very people are indeed in the favor of the common 'good'.

Then you'll have people completely against Genetic enhancing, with the argument we've proposed, yet still for finding ways to end world hunger. so it's tough to take sides on the matter, because they make it hard for anyone to know all the facts.

REALLY, everybody needs to start thinking about become as self-sufficing as possible. When you think about it, it's a very BASIC and BENEFICIAL thing. It doesn't cost much to purchase chicken wire and 3-4 chickens.. there you have unlimited eggs year round. Nor does it cost much for seeds.. and after investing in these very basic things, and HARNESS their RESOURCES, you start spending less money out and around on food.

When you become your primary source of produce, you dont have to worry about what anybody else is doing to your food.. because yea, it's something to worry about. On top of that, you have something to do to eat up time. No one's really as busy as they say, and if you are, you're full of sh*t. Throw the TV away, smoke a blunt, cultivate your land, become harmonious with the very nature that brought you to be.

The bottom line I. M. O. is we need to be kept up to date on this research, and truthfully told which methods are safe and which aren't. But we all know the government doesn't like to keep its people informed.

* Obama and his cronies or his puppetmasters are trying to take total control – nationalize everything, disarm the populace, control food, etc. We are seeing the formation of a total police state.

* Well ... that's not very " green " of Obama. What's his real agenda?

* This is getting way out of hand! Isn't it enough the FDA already allows poisons in our foods?

* If you're starving, no number of guns will enable you to stay free. That's the whole idea behind this legislation. He who controls the food really makes the rules.

* The government is terrified of the tax loss. Imagine all the tax dollars lost if people actually grew their own vegetables! Imagine if people actually coordinated their efforts with family, friends and neighbors. People could be in no time eating for the price of their own effort. ... Oh the horror of it all! The last thing the government wants is for us to be self-sufficient.

* They want to make you dependent upon government. I say no way! already the government is giving away taxes from my great great grandchildren and now they want to take away my food, my semi-auto rifles, my right to alternative holistic medicine? We need a revolution, sheeple! Wake up! They want fascism ... can you not see that?

* The screening processes will make it very expensive for smaller farmers, where bigger agriculture corporations can foot the bill.

* If anything it just increases accountability, which is arguably a good thing. It pretty much says they'll only confiscate your property if there are questions of contamination and you don't comply with their inspections. I think the severity of this has been blown out of proportion by a lot of conjecture.

* Don't waste your time calling the criminals in D.C. and begging them to act like humans. This will end with a bloody revolt.

* The more I examine this (on the surface) seemingly innocuous bill the more I hate it. It is a coward's ploy to push out of business small farms and farmers markets without actually making them illegal because many will choose not to operate due to the compliance issue.
