Well, IF the Obama administration got the original health care over haul bill passed it would have meant worse health care because it would have been cheaper for everyone plus the cost to actually implement the health care over haul would have been a ton of money on top of the trillions of dollars in debt that the Obama administration is racking up right now. It would have been a measly version of the Canadian health care system. Sure, everyone can get it, but you would be getting worse care and adding more debt to our nation's debt by implementing it.

Well, IF the Obama administration got the original health care over haul bill passed it would have meant worse health care because it would have been cheaper for everyone plus the cost to actually implement the health care over haul would have been a ton of money on top of the trillions of dollars in debt that the Obama administration is racking up right now. It would have been a measly version of the Canadian health care system. Sure, everyone can get it, but you would be getting worse care and adding more debt to our nation's debt by implementing it.

Of course we definitely need some sort of health care over haul, but not the kind that the Obama administration is trying to implement.

Let me first say that I'm not against Obama and his administration; I am against what they are trying to do and what they are trying to get passed. I don't want people to think that I'm 100% against Obama, biased against Obama, hating on Obama, or anything like that. Sure, I don't think he was the best candidate for president, but that's in the past now. He's the president now and we need to do all that we can before his time is up in order to help our nation and fix whatever truly needs fixing.

To answer your question, though, no, personally, I do not have any other solutions to the problems our nation faces today, but that doesn't mean that there aren't other solutions out there that are better equipped to handle what we are going through more efficiently and effectively. There are quite a few people out there that do have solid solutions, but they aren't president and it's hard to get something that will actually help our nation passed because of so many factors.

No, your analogy isn't off by any means (controversial, maybe; unorthodox, definitely). I understand exactly what you're getting at and, with some room for error and/or maneuverability, I think that you don't always have to spend money to make money. Of course, most business models reflect that exact thing, but there some that don't at all. An example, which might not pertain to this debate, but it's still an adequate example, might be that a non-profit organization has a business model, but they don't always include spending money to make, or raise, money.

Even so, I do feel that money is absolutely NEEDED to be spent in order to gain traction for certain things as well as help/fix other things. I just want to be thorough on what I said and what I meant: I never said that we don't need to spend any money; I simply stated that we don't need to spend AS MUCH money as they plan on spending with this health care bill. We're already trillions of dollars in debt as a nation (of course, it's not ALL of the Obama administration's fault, but they certainly are adding quite of bit to it) so we really don't need trillions of dollars more to be added to the debt. We'll never be able to pay it off. Subsequently, where do you think that will land America? Most likely broke, out of resources, and an enemy to more nations than we already are. With so much debt, we're heading towards becoming a third world nation and no longer being any sort of "super power," nor anywhere close to it.

I actually read a very interesting and intriguing article in Newsweek, I believe, that had a bunch of great solutions to lowering our national debt and they're all plausible if the politicians would agree to them. Even though it was said in Spiderman, I think the quote, "With great power comes great responsibility" is something the American government and its people should pay more attention to and act out.

Well, the drawback of the "universal health care" idea is that if it's implemented, the quality is going to go way down because doctors and whoever else aren't going to be paid as much. It's a sad fact that they'd rather get paid over 6 figures then actually help people.
