Wade admitted he was torn after meeting with the Bulls twice in 30 hours last Thursday and Friday.
"There was a time where things kind of swung there," Wade said about the temptation of playing in his hometown of Chicago. "It played on my emotions a lot. I'm a family guy, and you want to have every moment with your kids. But I couldn't make this an emotional decision . "It's the hardest decision I've had to make as a pro player. Chicago has my heart. I get teared up a little right now thinking about the opportunity I had.
Ultimately, it came down to Chris and his decision and he wanted to be in Miami." -Chicago Tribune
