that's what i'm thinking...it's like u have multiple lives...instea of time being linear, it can be bent backwards upon itself...the electromagnetic force in the hatch is actually based on real QUANTUM PHYSICS...it's theorized that electromagnetic forces have an effect on time or are related too it...I'd have to read up on it again to refresh my memory, but u get the basics

Plus they've answered several things in recent episodes.

1. Desmond: If he had not been brought to the island, everyone would be dead right now. Desmond was brought to the island, via fate, or the island or whatever, for a specific purpose. His destiny, if you will.

2. What happened to the Hatch? We saw what happened to the hatch.

3. And on a shorter span, the whole "sees the future" type thing, we got some answers for.

We're constantly getting answers, and yet everyone wants to make it like we're not getting told sh*t.

I can keep going. How about how Juliet got to the Island? How long she's been on the island? The fact that she was not BORN on the island, while others were. She has another flashback coming up that will pick up exactly where we left off with her.

We find out that they had a great surgeon, in Ethan. We find out that (allegedly) Alex is Ben's daughter, although there are questions as to whether she's the biological or maybe kidnapped at a young age and just thinks that Ben is her dad.

We learned that the Others don't live on that island, they in fact live on the Lostie's island.

We've learned that they have an underwater hatch.

Open your eyes people, and stop bi*ching and you'll realize you're learning sh*t each week.

If Ethan was a great surgeon, then why didnt HE operate on Ben earlier?

My only reasoning is that he never got the chance because when flight 815 came it changed everything, or, Ben only found out about his tumor after Ethan got killed.

well to be honest they've left a lot of the show's characters on the backburner while they dealt with Jack, Kate and Sawyer in the first 6 eps of the season.

They introduced them (Nikki & Paulo) I think in the finale of last year, and are just getting back to the Beach, so to speak.

So I think now that they are back on this island, we'll see more of them and others.

Yeah thats gonna be either real interesting or real boring when that episode airs telling their flashback... but what I dont get is they will have like dudes that are the size of Sawyer and Jack in the background on the island, like even Paulo, dont you think that the people on the island (Jack, Locke, etc) would have wanted their help from the beginning? Most of the people in the background look like they could be real useful, and it doesnt make sense to introduce them now and give them a story, The only thing I can think of is that the writer's are just looking for a story....

This coming week we pick up where Locke left off in S03E05, and they might come into contact with that Patchy guy... Im not gonna give any spoilers so watch ON THURS!

Sayid and Kate were down below and they saw the C4 all hooked up throughout.

So when Locke hit the 77 on the keyboard, it sent a signal to detonate after a certain amount of time, because obviously whoever hit 77 would have to have time to get out.

I think the reason that they blew it up was as follows.

There was a lot of VITAL information in there (all the dharma books on how sh*t goes), including maps of the island, and that kinda thing. Lots of sh*t that maybe Dharma didn't want to fall into the wrong hands. So if they felt that the hostiles (aka OTHERS) were gonna be getting hold of it, they just decided to destroy everything. Kinda like the spies taking cyanide pills before they could be captured, and the exact reason Mrs. Klugh told the Wishmaster to kill her, and then kill himself -- which he tried to do -- so that they could not be captured and tell the good guys where Jack and them were. Klugh knew that they were gonna try to find Jack.

While the communication was down, due to the fact that the satellite dish and sonar wasn't working, Sayid has a specialty in fixing electronics type equipment, so perhaps he could have tried to fix it.

Also, even if that stuff had turned out to be a wash, who knows what stuff they coulda found in there that woulda clued them into other information they were looking for.

Like....the camera room where they saw him on when they were in that other Hatch?

Who knows what he would have said had that chick not said something? Maybe we'll find out next week, maybe we'll find out at a later date.

yeah, that's been a theory for awhile now that since Jack's dad's coffin was empty when he found it in the forest, that somehow Christian Shephard is the leader of the Others, despite the fact that repeated mention has been made of "Jacob" being the big man. Pickett saying "Jack wasn't even on Jacob's list" in the 6th episode of this season.

I don't think Locke is an other, because he was on the plane with the other survivors. If he was an Other, he woulda been on the island before. Same with Jack's dad (who is DEAD). :lol:

Plus Locke blows up the sub this coming week (as seen in the promos), so I don't think he wants to get off the island, and this coming week I think reinforces that.

Remember him and Rose talking about why Rose didn't wanna leave? Because Rose had cancer or something, and once she got on the island she was cured. She's afraid to go back off the Island, because if she does, then she won't be healed anymore, and she will die.

Same with Locke. If he leaves the island, it's possible he'll revert back to being in a wheelchair.

now that I think about it, I wouldn't really be shocked to find out that Danielle was one of the Others.

Not that I think she's an other, but it IS kinda odd that she always disappears right when she is gonna go down.

I dunno though.

Situations that could possible be examined and conclusions drawn:

1. She captured Ben in the net in Season 2. Ben's yelling "help me" drew Sayid (I think) to where he was caught.

2. She walked away when they got to Wishmaster's house.
3. She walked away when they were getting ready to run up on Jack's crib.

On one hand, you could look at it like this. She's been on her own for 16 years, she's half out of her mind, she's used to being paranoid and having to fend for herself. She's not so willingly going to put her faith and life into someone else's hands, especially someone who doesn't know the opposition as well as she does.

Obviously if Alex IS her daughter, than Ben and the Others KNOW she's on the island. Perhaps ....well I was gonna say that Ben was her husband, but she said she killed her husband (thought she said she killed Alex too, though) and Ben said he had been born on the island (although that could have been a lie...he's lied a lot).

I think that Danielle has one single minded goal: Somehow get Alex back. But she's nervous. She's scared. She's like the mother/father who either gave up their kid when they were first born, and then is reaching out to them later in life, or like the father who was never there for his son but some day wants to try to reenter his life. Not knowing what the kid's reaction will be. Denial? Rejection? Indifference?

That's some scary sh*t. And that's enough to drive someone kinda bat sh*t. You think your kid is dead all those years, and now you have the chance to meet them, but what is their reaction gonna be?

She told Kate last week I think that she was afraid that her daughter wouldn't know her or care about her, or something like that.

1. First up is a controversy settled at last. Folks have long debated that Locke was paralyzed in the season one episode 'Numbers' as the hapless falling victim that passed briefly behind Hurley's accountant's window. One point though. Charlie will NOT be in the show next year. According to a report I saw Evangeline Lily (Kate) who is dating Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) in real life said that he doesn't know whether he dies or not. And his flashback episode is like #19 or something.

One point though. Charlie will NOT be in the show next year. According to a report I saw Evangeline Lily (Kate) who is dating Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) in real life said that he doesn't know whether he dies or not. And his flashback episode is like #19 or something.

LOST SEASON 3 EPISODE 14 Expose: Easter Eggs.

First up, Sawyer's book club. In an episode that was, essentially, a who-dunnit (more so from the present day portion of the story) how fitting is it that Sawyer is taking in a little Agatha Christie? 'Evil Under the Sun' has more than a few parallels to Exposé: it centers around Diamonds, and the mystery is played out on an island.

Whether you call it self referential, or self indulgent, Exposé director Stephen Williams cast a fictional Stephen Williams as the director of the fictional Exposé. You can see his name on the clap board and on the back of the director's chair. The gentleman in the sleeveless shirt is the phony Williams, the man in the lower right is the real Stephen Williams. The old dude Nikki and Paulo swindled was just an executive producer.

Now for this Shakespeare thing: Special thanks to Ryan for pointing this out! Ryan alerted me to a play called Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead, which chronicles the lives of two characters played out against the backdrop of events from Shakespeare's Hamlet.

In Hamlet, the two characters are charged with determining Hamlet's motives, and plans. Instead they, themselves are killed. The characters are thrust into the universe of Hamlet in much the same way that Paulo and Nikki were thrust into ours, by the will of the writer. Inasmuch, they seem to serve no valid purpose and are generally mocked throughout for being the extraneous folk they are.

In "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead", however, much like Expose is Nikki and Paulo, the playing field is reversed and they are the major characters with Hamlet seeming to be the character with misappropriated importance.

Triggering the fail safe caused a brief "rip" in time when the sky turned purple. This rip carried the Island, it's contents & nearby islands back 50 years in time. Their communications are down as the Others most likely rely on satellite or long range radio which didn't exist in 1950's-60's and why rescue is now even less likely.

The Other's very quickly realise they are back in time (as they had been expecting it) and that it won't be until Hanso comes along in the late 60's and finds them and the Island until they have contact with the outside world again. Until then, the make a truce with the LOSTies and the live together on the Island. Supplies soon run out (no more food drops) so they learn to farm and live off the land. Due to lack of decent medicines etc, people are dying all the time and the numbers soon thin out.

Hanso comes along in the 60's, finds them and hears their story. Hanso realises the Island is special (moving in time) and notices the electromagnetic anomalies. He leaves the remaining Others/LOSTies on the Island so the world doesn't learn the truth and he sets them up in Otherville.

Hanso then sets up the hatches and infrastructure using the De Groots, Dharma and the Valenzetti equation as his cover so he can secretly unlock the secrets of time travel for his own purposes. The Swan and the button were set up in order to keep the electromagnetic build ups at an almost unstable level that was still containable. Hanso knew that it was due to the failsafe trigger in 2004 that the Island travelled in time so he needs to keep the electromagnetic anomaly "bubbling" away until then at which time he'll witness the time travel first hand and unlock it's secret.

The incident in the 80's may well have been a revolt by the trapped Others/LOSTies against the Hanso/Dharma people and ran them off the Island. Hanso needs the Others to be alive still in 2004 so allows them "supervised" contact with the outside world and continues their food drops because for the events to play out the same way again.

By the 90's the Others are all growing old so Hanso starts "recruiting" new people to the Island. Little did the recruitees know but it's a one way ticket as Hanso blocks any attempts for people to leave the Island and have the world find out. May explain why Ben let Michael & Walt go so they could alert the outside world to their existence and thwart Hanso's master plan.

2004 comes, the plane crashes etc. The Other's know they need to stop the LOSTies triggering the failsafe to stop Hanso which is why they spy on them first and don't make themselves known or offer help. They also know it is Desmond who has the key and is the one to turn it. Ben allows himself to be captured to get into the Swan to find out if Des is there or not.

In "Lockdown" when Ben tells Locke he didn't put in the numbers and press the button and nothing happened (even though he did enter them) was so that Locke would also not enter them next time leading to an electromagnetic overload/meltdown and without Desmond around know one could use the failsafe key and cause the time slip. Ben probably didn't care what the overload would do as even death for the Others would bring an end to their imprisonment on the Island.

Problem is Desmond turned up just in time and uses the key. The Island slips back 50 years again. However, as Des was at the centre of the time flux in both time-lines when he uses the key, this time it blends the 2 Desmond's from different times so he has both memories and therefore remembers what is going to happen on the Island for the next 50 years making him seem prophetic.

What this means is that the LOSTies became the Others...

The youngest of the 2004 LOSTies would still be alive 50 years later while the older 2004 LOSTies (say over 25) would have all already died on the Island after being there since 1954.

Adam & Eve = Kate & Sawyer or Juliet & Jack, Ben = Aaron, Claire or Cindy = Amelia, skeleton in bear cave = Locke (in his favourite Pearl t-shirt).

The older 2004 Others (over 50) knew when the plane crashed that it was their younger selves arriving which is why they were so determined on getting the children so they could keep them safe and healthy to grow up into them (after the time slip). The LOSTies referred to as good ones are the people who become the future Others, those not on the list die early on or don't contribute to the future of the Others.

As Hanso wanted to keep the Others on the Island, he created the smoke monster (I still can't explain it's make-up though) to do this for him. Hanso programmed the DNA of the Others in Smokey which is why it scans people. If their DNA matches it's database they are "herded" back to the Otherville side of the Island and away from the Dharma/Hanso installations. It killed Eko as it didn't recognise his DNA but left Locke alive as the first Locke went back to 1954 and was therefore one of the Others. Smokey didn't know the "Other" Locke died before 2004, it just recognised his DNA in the 2004 Locke.

And another aside - maybe the time-shift is responsible for Yemi's body disappearing? Again, I don't know quite how that would work, since the island, all buildings and the living humans seem to have survived untouched. But that would mean that the Adam and Eve skeletons would also have disappeared, thus setting the stage for one of the couples to become Adam and Eve. [And it doesn't matter *which* couple it is - so long as they have the black and white stones.]

What do you all think? This is very interesting, if you put it all together and if you have ACTUALLY paid attention to the show and really follow it...

You can see 16 and 23 here, I wasn't able to get a grab of her punching in 4. Enzo Valenzetti calculated the length of modern civilization to be a little more than 48 million hours. Specifically, his Equation solved for 48,151,623 hours and 42 minutes. With it currently being 12/12/04 on the Island, as stated before the Tsunami could/could not impact the Island, but this could possibly be why the Others are heading either Underground or Mountian region...

I guess that would mean that people would argue the Island would have to be in the Indian Ocean somewhere, but it is possible to be in the Pacific according to this video:

Question: Any chance of some Lost scoop?— Roisin

Ausiello: As a matter of fact, there's a pretty good chance, since I illegally and unethically obtained an advance copy of tonight's Juliet-centric outing. Now, before we get to the spoilers, I feel it's my responsibility to tell you that this is easily the best Lost episode of the season. Bar none. You want answers? This one's got 'em in spades. Not only will we find out how Juliet came to the island, but we'll learn why she stuck around and the reason her people gassed her. And unlike some of the show's other "answers," these make perfect sense in the context of the overall narrative.

We'll also discover that:

* Claire's kidnapping didn't exactly go as planned.
* Juliet carried on an affair with an Other whose name wasn't Ben or Henry.
* There are real feelings between Sawyer and Kate. I know because there's a moment between the two of 'em that made me go all misty-eyed and sniffly, and that's never happened to me while watching these two before.
* Sun's fetus has bigger problems than figuring out who its daddy is.

And stealing a page from Ain't It Cool News' playbook (thanks, Herc; wish I'd thought of it myself!), here are some of the episode's standout quotes:

One question this episode didn't answer is which category Elizabeth Mitchell will win her Emmy in: lead or supporting. You've come a long way, Dinah Lee Mayberry.

I'm in meetings most of the day and don't have time for a detailed synopsis so I will try to give most of the highlights.



- Juliet is brought to the island by submarine after agreeing to take OJ with tranquilizers. She is unconscious the entire trip. And plans to be there 6 months.

- Apparently the women who are pregnant on the Island all die. The body turns against itself treating the fetus as a foreign body.

- The French woman is never mentioned the only successful birth is considered to be Claire's according to Juliet.

- Juliet doesn't tell Sayid anything we only see flashbacks and Jack bails her out when questioned.

- After 6 months and the death of a woman Juliet asks to go home. To her sister who will give birth in three months.

- Ben informs her that her sister's cancer has returned. If Juliet stays and works, Jacob will personally heal her sisters' cancer. She agrees.

- At the three year mark she is in bed with Goodwin when there is a knock on the door.

- Karl has brought her some xrays of Bens spine.

- Juliet goes to Bens' house. He is reading Carrie the book she picked for the book club. She tells him the pain is not from the herniated disks it's a tumor.

- Ben is shocked and Juliet gets angry and asks why are you afraid? If you can cure cancer why did you get it? She accuses Ben of lying about her sister and assumes her sister is probably dead.

- Next day is the book club meeting and plane crash which is why Ben comments "I guess I'm out of the book club" After Sending Goodwin and Ethan off he asks her to go with him.

- He takes her to Mikahl who is already watching the news about the missing flight Ben asks for info of every passenger. Richard is in Miami with a live camera feed and shows todays paper, Juliets sister and baby playing on a playground.

- Juliet begs to go home but Ben tells her you can go when the work is done.

- It's impossible she says. He tells her this flight might have a pregnant woman for her to research.

- Claire has gotten sick and Juliet says she injected her with something when Ethan took her. She was saving her life but needs a shot again. She gets the shot and she's all better.

- Everyone is happy and Jack gets her some supplies for a tent setup.

- She flashes back to the night before being left behind and she is plotting with Ben

- Ben has her rehearsing the plan.Everything from dragging Kate out to the jungle handcuffing themselves together and coming back to the camp.

- Even the implant they put into Claire to make her sick in the next 48 hours where he will leave the meds so she can save the day. He then gives her a gas mask and tells her he will see her in a week.

One of the best episodes of the season.........now the question is would Juliet follow Ben's plan or not?

I saw that betrayal coming a mile away. Surprising, because usually I don't pick up on stuff, even the most obvious.

So apparantly this means Sun is in for some problems.

This doesn't answer the main question of what the hell are the "Others" doing on the island? They brought Juliet to the island to help with the problem of Pregnancies ending in death.

They brought Jack to the camp to fix Ben.

They haven't said yet what the fu*k the Others main agenda is.

When Juliet goes over Rachel's chart with Ben to confirm that her sister's cancer has returned, she somehow fails to notice in the upper right hand corner that apparently her sister has apparently switched genders as well. The chart says this information belongs to a male patient, a 5'11, 187 pound male.

Interesting choice of symbols! The marks you see highlighted belong to the Bagua, which is probably more commonly known as the Dharma logo these days. This particular part of the symbol is called a trigram. There are eight altogether, each representing an aspect of life. This Trigram represents the 'front door' , the beginning or your life path, and career. How appropriate for this scene?

The mysterious mark! What does it mean? Turns out to be a letter from the Cyrillic alphabet, but also much much more. In addition, the symbol is also prominent in UFO folklore:

some ufologists claim it is a symbol for a planet in another sun system, called Ummo, some of whose inhabitants they say have been in contact with humans on our planet.

Again, nothing hidden but just worth savoring for a moment. This scene not only blew away "there was never a crash" rumors, but it also explained how master web surfer Patchy got started with his info gathering. Not to mention the fact that the little dish on top of the Flame station gets pretty awesome reception.

Just who was Juliet throwing daggers at with that final, grim stare? Desmond! If you review the scene using the pole to her right as your point of reference, and cycle through the different groups of characters, you'll see that the direction she is grimacing in is occupied by the 815'rs own reluctant Nostradamus.

A highly-placed insider has just set my hinder straight on the batting order for the final episodes of “Lost” this season.

The bad news? As reported by TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, the season will indeed not end with a Benjamin Linus flashback two-parter.

The good news? We’ll be getting Ben’s flashbacks even sooner! He’ll be the focus of 3.20, the episode previously believed to be DeGroot-centric. (If you’re thinking Dharma masterminds Karen and Gerald DeGroot will still turn up in that episode, I’d guess you’re thinking right.)

The shocking news? After years of privately and publicly nagging the producers of “Lost” to cut back on the flashbacks, I can report that 3.19 is slated to be the first-ever flashback-free episode in the series’ history.

The absent flashbacks for that episode, says my source, “won't even be missed.”

“The episode,” he or she adds, “focuses on one of season one's ‘mysteries’ - if that's the right word.”
