Minnesota wins the desperation bowl
QB Kevin Kolb, who was making his second start in place of the injured Michael Vick (ribs), looked even better than he did in his first start, completing 23 of 29 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns against the Falcons
The Patriots deployed Danny Woodhead as a versatile and exciting threat in Week 6, and the Ravens couldn't shut him down. Woodhead wound up stealing a lot of work away from starter BenJarvus Green-Ellis
The Saints RB situation was a mess entering the Week 6 game in Tampa Bay. With Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas out, the team signed Julius Jones to give it some depth as they clearly weren't happy with Ladell Betts or starter Chris Ivory. Ivory may have made one of those other two backs unnecessary with his performance in the Week 6 win over Tampa. Although he did not score a touchdown, Ivory set a new career high with 158 rushing yards. He did that on just 15 carries for a whopping 10.5 yards per touch
Tom Brady struggled through the first half against the Ravens, completing just 7 of 13 passes for 90 yards as the Ravens owned the time of possession. But he came alive in the second half and in overtime, finishing with 292 yards on 27 of 44 passing with a touchdown
