Obviously it isn't a Mac, but your saying that the desktop is the sh*t when its basically the Black version of the Luna theme (the default theme of XP). I mean, I even have a copy of Media Center Edition. Everyone has an opinion, and I don't mean to sound cocky, but my desktop is the best.

he's using WindowBlinds 5 which has alpha blending (that allows the taskbar to be translucent). You can only get that effect on the Enhanced version of WB. If you're just using a regular Visual Style, then there's a program called TransBar which allows you to set the opacity of your taskbar.

I'm not talking about Apple's benchmarks. The only real way to test the speed differences is to try and use the same appz such as Photoshop and Maya. Plus you have to factor in the OS differences. The quad core is nothing to be fu*ked with.

^^^ to get it back to "normal", unload windowblinds and uninstall it. no need for windowblinds, all you need is to patch your UXTheme.dll and you can apply Visual Styles without all your RAM being eaten.

google the informatin about uxtheme.dll patch. you'll find what you're looking for to tweak the way windows looks. I was thinking about windowblinds, but decided against it. I just have a patched dll, VS, RKlauncher, and i changed a few icons manually.

patch your uxtheme.dll file and download a visual style. the visual style should be name.msstyle (sometimes it comes with a shell folder, that's also necessary). just put the msstyle and the shell folder in C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes folder and double click on the msstyle file. It will bring up the display options with the msstyle in the preview. click ok, and the theme will be applied.

I made my Windows box look like OSX, but you can easily tell its Windows because I do not have a Finder (OSX's Taskbar). I have OSX on my slave drive, but I don't use it until Shapeshifter is released for it.

I know 2 people on boxden who have Macs.

As for Visual Styles, there's about a million ports of skins coming from OSX. A good place to get them would be http://guistyles.com/

I made my Windows box look like OSX, but you can easily tell its Windows because I do not have a Finder (OSX's Taskbar). I have OSX on my slave drive, but I don't use it until Shapeshifter is released for it.

I know 2 people on boxden who have Macs.

As for Visual Styles, there's about a million ports of skins coming from OSX. A good place to get them would be http://guistyles.com/

patch your uxtheme.dll file first, once that is patched, on the desktop > right click > Arrange Icons By > uncheck "Show Desktop Icons"

you can change the background sheeme of RKLauncher. Just wait until I publish my Guide, get ready to pimp your desktop.

then right click on your rk launcher and select settings

this depends on if you decide you put the RKLauncher folder into Program Files. But if anything, extract it into your Themes folder in your RK folder.

the player is winamp with the Cd Case plugin. google 'winamp cd case' to get it

and for the hard disk, dl AveDesk. u can find that on google too.
