I went and saw it and thought the movie was amazing. Roomies saw the movie this weekend and both weren't impressed at all. :smh: :smh:

I was excited when I saw the previews for 300, as it looked similar to Gladiator, one of my favorite films. The cinematography and action scenes were good, but I guess I was expecting more. It's worth seeing, but the story is not quite as good as Gladiator.

HOnestly I just thought it was alright. Nothin special.Just famcy shots and a bunch of hype. Not sayin it was bad,but as far as the best movie no way.Wouldnt even rank it in my top 50.

I think it was the best movie I've seen in the theaters in the past couple years, as far as what I was expecting in comparison to what I got. No plot!?! The movie did a great job of glorifying an actual historical event, there's not much you could do to the plot of that movie to make it any better, if you get too far away from the actual battle, it ruins the movie. The action was incredible and the movie actually kind of threw a curveball at me when I assumed it would be completely predictable. I am no expert but I thought the movie was great.

every few yrs we get a film that blows us away the way it filmed
for me it was matrix, sin city now 300.. story was could have been lil better but the narration was awesome cause it got the audience hooked from the start...

All lines where kinda cheesy... "Madness? this is Sparta (and a lot of spitting while speaking that sentence)..

One other thing that just got me like wtf.. Is the moment where he's eating an apple.. I was like.. WTF, lets get on with the movie...

Fight scenes was just Dull... I mean, everytime someone hits another it's in ultra ultra slow motion ?... To see the effect once or twice is ok.. But in EVERY fight scene... This movie could have been shortened by at least 30 mins and STILL have the same story from beginning to the end..

One line that was just pathetic was in the begining of a battle leonitus shouts"GIve them nothing,but take from them everything" how poetic.Movie gets more boring everytime I watch it.....

Glad DvdScr leaked. As a film on its own its a good movie but hardly Gladiator, but you will have to admit that the adaptation from the graphic novel to film was brilliantly done. Stop kidding yourselves those who went looking for a plot, 'cos for me it was all about the violence [as depicted in the novel] and i thought it was greatly done.

to me the wackest part of the movie was the fact they hired the people from hills have eyes to guard the oracles, made the persians look like monsters or zombies or some stupid sh*t, and had the persian army using all kinds of mutants and sh*t. how is any of that historically relevant or necessary. i would have rathered a straight forward account of the battle, showing actually persian people rather than random ass monsters.

pretty good. visually nice. the slow motion however got boring and repititive.

Also, some of the backrounds kind of sucked, if you can understans what im saying. just seemed flat. no depth.

It was cool, but no way is it close to beign a favorite of mine, and I dont even think it will be the best movie I see this year.

To be honest I don't think Troy was that good of a movie I prefer Gladiator but 300 was definitely a little over hyped, of course it was visually stunning they used a lot of special effects and was filmed in a studio instead of on location like gladiator story could have been a little better. a good movie though.
