lol the movie was looped, didnt you get it? the ending is where the movie begins, meaning he had already left all the signs behind and been there to the crime scene, and the ship, etc.

I don't believe the story looped at the end. What happened I think goes back to the woman's explanation of a second alternate life that breaks off the main path and coincides with the pre-existing life, and what they showed us at the end was Denzel's character in the alternate life/world instead of the world in which he died.
